Ancient Egypt: The Gift of the Nile
C. 3000–1200 BC/BCE
Introduction: Egypt is located in Northern Africa and is home to the most successful ancient civilization of its time. While Mesopotamian civilizations were developing the ideas of writing, farming, rules and laws, the Egyptians followed their lead but then unified into one empire that defined their own destiny in creating the most advanced civilization of the ancient world. However their story begins with the similar geographic trait of the Mesopotamian civilizations; a rich river valley that gave people the ability to farm and form small villages. From then on, The Ancient Egyptians went on to be the most unique, mysterious, ambitious and interesting civilization to ever exist.
